Happy 4th of July America!
I have always been a Patriot and understood that Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness was ours as Americans.
Although I have always been a Patriot I haven't always had a relationship with God (Christian)
What I am keenly aware of now because of my growing relationship with God is why our country is in so much distress.

I was one that knew our founding fathers were steeped in knowledge of God given rights, but what I wasn't aware of
is just how much our country has departed from its blessings from above.  My disdain for religion kept me blind to having a relationship with God.
But as our government crumbled and as those in our Government continually failed us and worse ignored us I needed to know WHY?

I watched, listened and wrote.  I accused those speaking untruthfully discussing their motivations in Hypocronance. 
I didn't however know why or even how such a thing could be happening.  That was until my relationship with God was sought.

Today we celebrate America's birthday, but what do we actually celebrate?
Are spiritual Americans free to express their views without persecution from the secular world, or are we seen as haters?
While they want us to forget God's laws concerning societal morality we cling to those truths and are condemned.

Do we celebrate the fact that our government no longer serves us rather than tells us how to live and what to pay in tribute to them?
Do we celebrate and worship the intellectuals dressed in clothes we can't afford looking for moral imperatives based solely on dismissing
the fact that our republic was founded by believers rather than deists?

Or are we celebrating the fact that our countries greatness is diminished as a world leader while we progress into an impoverished and bandaged people for our own lack of being responsible to our God given rights.  If we forget or dismiss the authority that gave us those rights how are they sustained?  Freedom is a responsibility to honor the source of that freedom.  Do we honor the government that gives us today's reality?
As yourself if being American today is a good thing. 

In 2004 and again 2008 our elections came with messages of hope.  It is 2012 and for all the talk and promise of hope what is the result of change
for that hope?  Hope in men without God is a gamble.  Hope in men that honor God has proven out in history to result in great nations.

I have been a Patriot without God and now I am a Godly Patriot.  I am thankful now more than ever to be an American.
Because of our countries disintegration I sought truth none could explain satisfactorily.  How could it be that we were once a great nation come to what we are today?  There is only one answer.... We turn from our foundation's blessings of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.

I hope Americans enjoy our Nation's birthday and I pray to God that they come to know why it is we still have a reason to celebrate this birthday.
